JOIN THE 2025-2026 SWA BOARD OF DIRECTORS!
For the 2025-2026 season, we have numerous Board Members returning (yay), several people stepping down (thank you for your service), and always room for new Board Members!
Requirements for all Board Members:1. Attend monthly meetings, typically the 4th Sunday of the month. There is food!
2. Vote on important issues effecting all corners of the league. Have a say in your player's experience!
While all positions are open for re-election, here are some key positions we need to fill:
VP Softball: Oversee the softball program. Report any/all softball needs to the SWA Board. Attend District Softball meetings once per month, coordinate with VPs from neighboring leagues to create schedules and communicate SWA team enrollment to District. Assist President with creating the softball assessment schedule (spring only), assist coaching coordinator in recruiting coaches, assist Player Agent (as needed) to create Rookie teams. And a lot more fun.
VP Baseball: Oversee the baseball program. Report any/all baseball needs to the SWA Board. Assist President with creating the baseball assessment schedule (spring only), assist coaching coordinator in recruiting coaches, assist UIC in recruiting umpires. And a lot more fun.
Fields at CCOG: Oversee field maintenance at Cloverdale Church of God (t-ball and machine pitch baseball). Coordinate with service providers (lawn care, weed maintenance, etc). Receive bids for field supplies/maintenance to Board for approval. Report field needs to SWA Board.
Sponsorships: Update sponsorship forms, contact prior sponsors, recruit new sponsors
Baseball Coaching Coordinator: Help recruit baseball coaches. Provide resources and helpful "how-tos" to our coaches. Be the first point of contact for baseball coaches when questions arise.
Softball Coaching Coordinator: Help recruit softball coaches. Provide resources and helpful "how-tos" to our coaches. Be the first point of contact for softball coaches when questions arise.
Umpire in Chief (UIC): Attend District umpire training. Communicate dates of trainings to volunteer umpires in SWA. Recruit umpires for each team. Provide links and resources to umpires. Little League provides these!
Uniforms and Pictures: Coordinate with vendors to design, order, and distribute uniforms for all divisions! This position is time sensitive once registration closes.
Not interested in attending monthly Board Meetings but really just want to "help more" in the league. Join a committee! Concessions Committee: Report to the Concessions Board Member only. Help coordinate schedules at snack shack, provide feedback for inventory. Help open/close the snack shacks on occasion.
Fields Committee: Report to the Fields Director only. Help make the fields look amazing!
Equipment Committee: Report to the Equipment Manager only. Help organize the equipment shed (bats, gloves, balls, catcher's gear, etc.). Help take inventory of SWA's equipment at the conclusion of the season. Provide feedback for which equipment needs to be upgraded.
